who can get help?

Any woman who needs general counseling, drug and alcohol counseling or HIV counseling.

how much will it cost ?

Only what you can afford. All services are provided on a sliding scale and we accept MediCal.

what if I need childcare?

Childcare is available for all group and some individual sessions, both during the day and in the evening. Our childcare helps children grow in self-esteem and self-understanding.

what will my counselor be like?

The  staff at IRIS Center has developed all our services especially for women. From personal experience we know the problems you face and we have been professionally trained to help you.

who will know I’ve come there?

All our services are confidential.

can I get services in spanish?

Some individual and group counseling sessions are available in Spanish. A Spanish-speaking receptionist can help you.

are you near public transportation?

We’re at 333 Valencia Street in the Mission District-two blocks from the 16th & Mission BART station, one block from all Mission Street MUNI lines, and four blocks from the Market Street MUNI lines.
